Somatic Restoration Trauma Release
This 7-10-week process supports your nervous system regulation, behavioral mapping, relationship attunement, and boundary nourishment ability. This work culminates with one medicine or non-medicine therapeutic containment session to connect with what is unfinished stress and trauma charges living in your system. Each week we integrate the foundational practices of Mindfulness, Resources, Boundaries, Nervous System Regulation education, Inner dialogue, and Somatic exercises to support your processing of stress and trauma. Although our intention is to meet once a week we often discover that the body needs more time or contact to integrate and practice new behaviors and explore what is arising. Timelines are helpful markers but we follow what is arising in this living process.
Week One- Body Work 90 minutes:
We assess what is your base point. Where do you hold tension physically, emotionally, and psychologically? We become clear where your psychic attention is flowing and clarify your agreements as we begin this journey. We activate your own ability to ground and center your body.
Week two- Mindfulness 90-120 minutes:
We explore and strengthen mindfulness of body, emotions, mental thoughts, and the clear witness state. We do this through audio recorded meditations, somatic sensory practices, sound therapy, and movement practices.
Week Three- Resources 120 minutes:
We create a tool kit of personalized practices and physical touch points that can offer you positive regard, grounding, calming, pleasurable connection to your sense of wholeness, safety, and stability. I offer you weekly breathwork, sound healing recordings, creative visualizations, somatic movement practices, collaging practices to connect to your inner voices, and well as a how to guide in creating your own medicine bag. We also stabilize the practice of rehearsing solutions and new outcomes.
Week Four 120 minutes- Boundaries and Relational Nourishment:
We examine how you get your needs met and how you receive nourishment from your relationships and surroundings. We do this by checking your ability to both say no and to say yes. This reaches into the deep territory of family of origin and cultural programming. We use the groundbreaking tool of non-violent communication and Internal Family Systems parts work to help learn new pathways of expression and nourishment.
Week Five 120 minutes- Trauma Intake and Rehearsing Solutions
This is our time to look into all your traumatic or high stress events from your personal biological timeline. We are connecting the dots of both location in the body where something occurred, but also making sure we have a good map of where neurological charges, incomplete autonomic responses, and dissociative possibility may lie. We are not processing individual events but getting a map of your biological life threatening moments. We also identify where we can rehearse solutions for different outcomes to feed the neurology before entering into containment.
Week Six 120 minutes- Medicine or Non-Medicine Assisted Session
Employing a technique of containing the voluntary nervous system we explore the unresolved or resident charges that are living in your physiology. Charges come from single events or repetitive stress or trauma. We have prepared your system to be able to stay present with your body sensations and tolerate difficulty while staying in relationship. This technique works with or without medicine, the nervous system is what we are focused on. We use cannabis as it can lower defense mechanisms and increase one's awareness of bodily sensations. It is also very body centered not driving the system into the visual field of psychedelics. You must supply your own medicine.
Week Seven 120 minutes- Integration and Next Steps
Here we reflect on your medicine session and integrate the biological map of what arose. We often need more that one containment session to release a wave or to complete/move a charge to a integrated calm, relaxed and powerful place. We also review our seven weeks and strengthen moving forward practices and next steps for your own life.

Why is there a varying length of 7-12 weeks?
Each person has a unique metabolism for behavioral change and specific needs based on their own biological map.
This program offers an individualized pace that allows for your own emotional and Autonomic Nervous system to be met on a flexible and precise map. One of the most detrimental aspects of Colonial medicine and psychotherapy is the outer authority determining your outcome, pace, diagnosis, and options. The orientation is top-down with the expert in the seat of authority and the attention is all focused on the "dis-ease". What if you were actually the most valuable expert on yourself? What if listening to your physiology, emotional tone, and spiritual or unity insights becomes your default of leadership. The process of how to listen to our inner sensations, feelings, needs, and develop tools that are specific to you is a organic creative act. Some clients have had a lot of practice on somatic mindfulness: naming their sensations and being able to stay in the present moment with a high degree of tracking their thoughts, feelings, and sensations. Other people need a full two weeks to practice and familiarize oneself with this new tool of mindfulness. Some people have intact Boundary health: meaning they have internalized calm, relaxed, and powerful "no". For others this is a complete new territory that needs more time and support for a new resource to be able to integrate into the nervous system. Giving ourselves flexability and a responsive time table to our own unique development is a resource for trust, integration, and allows for you to be the leader in this process.
Do you offer support between sessions?
After the each session you will receive individualized recorded sound meditations, guided imagery, somatic practices for support with your conflicting inner voices, and homework to stabilize new positive behaviors, solutions, rituals, and resources. I offer phone consults or text messages in between the sessions for an added fee of 15 minute coaching calls for $45.
What do I need to know before committing to this process?
This process is based on your ability to practice, rehearse, and create time to try on new behaviors and somatic practices. It requires you to have access to a quiet and undisturbed place several times a week where you can feel safe and free to make sounds, move, meditate, be quiet, cry, express rage, and feel your emotions. If you are in an environment where you do not feel supported, safe, or free to express yourself we will need to create stability before we begin our work together. If you are using substances: alcohol, cigarettes, mushrooms, mdma, marijana, SSRI's, or any other state change agents it will impact our work together and it is fundamental to clarify what you can let go of for a time and what is necessity. We will offer your family members and close peers a what to expect when doing this work and how they can be part of the healing journey. As we know when one person changes often those around them have their own growth and edges challenged. There are also very specific ways that family and friends can support and stabilize new internal templates. I want to reiterate that this process is directly connected to how much attention, effort, practice, grit, and commitment you have to your own self-love and personal development. This is an inside job.
Where do we meet?
We meet in at Sky Mother Temple which is home to my private practice in Hood River, Oregon. Hood River is one hour from Portland Oregon nestled in the epic landscape of the Columbia River Gorge and holds views of Mount Hood and Mount Adams. We honor the Indigenous people whose traditional and ancestral homelands we stand on, The Multnomah, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Tumwater, Watlala bands of the Chinook, the Tualatin Kalapuya, Wasco-Wishram, and other indigenous nations of the Columbia River. It is important to acknowledge the ancestors of this place and to recognize that we are here because of the sacrifices forced upon them.
*During the medicine sessions there is an option (for an added fee) to spend the night and do the integration session the next morning.
